Ca' di Press is a young producer working with family vineyards in Monforte d'Alba's Perno zone—land the family has stewarded since the early 1900s. The 2021 Barolo Perno reflects a philosophy of minimal intervention: traditional maceration in steel, aging in neutral vessels, and a gentler extraction approach that lets the wine's structure emerge naturally. The result is a classic Barolo with clove and earthy aromatics, warm enveloping tannins, and a silky finish that speaks to quality viticulture rather than winemaking theatrics.
