Domaine Bernard-Bonin, Bourgogne Blanc Initiales B.B., 2023

Bernard-Bonin arrived in Burgundy with a philosophy: biodynamic farming from the start, no additives, no shortcuts. Nicolas Bernard and Véronique Bonin (granddaughter of the respected Bernard Michelot of Meursault) work 9 hectares with Demeter and Ecocert certification. This entry-level Bourgogne Blanc—Chardonnay fermented without added yeast or enzymes, aged 15-18 months in oak, unfined and unfiltered—proves that the philosophy scales down. The 2023 is ripe, supple, and juicy with medium-full body. "Initiales B.B." honors both grandfather Bernard and the Bonin name.
