Domaine du Clos des Rocs, Pouilly-Loche "Clos des Rocs" Monopole, 2023

The Clos des Rocs is a 3-hectare walled monopole vineyard in lieu-dit "Les Mûres" with 85-year-old Chardonnay vines planted in an ancient limestone quarry. Giroux is the largest owner in the tiny Pouilly-Loché appellation (just 32 hectares total). Organic viticulture, native yeast fermentation, aged 13 months in 500-liter casks, bottled unfined and unfiltered.
