Le Chiuse di Sotto (200-300m, northeast, heavy clay and limestone—5 hectares including vines planted 1947) provides perfumed aromatics. Podernovone (500m, southeast, planted since 1997) provides structure. Gianni Brunelli was born in Montalcino, founded Osteria Le Logge in Siena in 1977, then returned to purchase back the family property in 1987. He passed away in 2008; wife Laura and cousin Adriano continue. Indigenous yeasts, 25-day maceration, 30 months in large Slavonian oak botti. Grace over power.
