Grower Champagne from the Cote des Bar, the southern outpost of Champagne where Kimmeridgian clay and limestone, the same soils as nearby Chablis, give Pinot Noir real depth. 'Nature d'Argile' (literally 'clay nature') is exactly that: a blanc de noirs from 100% Pinot Noir grown on Essoyes clay, made by the husband-and-wife Guenin team who farm organically and biodynamically, vinify in oak, and bottle this with zero dosage. The result is a dry, characterful, terroir-driven Champagne with real substance. A grower bottle for those who like their bubbles with grip and personality.
