Il Colombaio di Santa Chiara, Selvabianca, 2024
Founded in 2002 by the three Logi brothers—Giampiero, Stefano, and Alessio—inspired by their father Mario, who began working Sienese hillside vines in the 1950s. The estate sits on the ancient Via Francigena pilgrimage route, named for a small Romanesque church, with 21 hectares of certified organic Vernaccia vineyards. Vernaccia di San Gimignano became Italy's first DOC in 1966 and Tuscany's only white DOCG, documented since 1276 and mentioned in Dante's Divine Comedy. The Selvabianca is their fresh, accessible expression: straw-colored with green hues, aromas of white fruit and lily of the valley, vibrant acidity, and the grape's signature almond-bitter finish. Excellent with seafood or light pastas.
