Troupis, Hoof & Lur, 2024

Moschofilero is a pink-skinned grape, and like Pinot Grigio/Gris, it can be vinified into light, crisp white wines (with limited skin contact), or a deep bronze-hued pink wine (à la Friuli ramato style). This is decidedly in the second category, macerated on its skins to produce the beautiful color and just a hint of tannins. Flavors of grapefruit, blood orange and juicy peach play on the palate, and the nose is all honeysuckle and ginger, succulent and floral without veering into the perfumed or cloying.
