Please join us on Wednesday, July 29 at 6pm on the mezzanine to discover Italy's Volcanic Terroir with David Curiel. Explore the intimate bond between soil and grape variety through one of the world's most vibrant terroirs: volcanic soil.

We will showcase Italian viticulture: a mosaic of extreme and fascinating terroirs. We will traverse Italy not by road, but by volcano, a tasting journey defined by freshness, salinity, and complexity.

About David Curiel
David Curiel joined Oliver McCrum in 2019, bringing with him a background in hospitality, spirits, and beverage education. In early 2025 he played a key role in launching Oliver McCrum's distribution here in NYC.

A true jack of all trades, David plays both the role of NY sales manager and National sales agent, working with distributors up and down the Eastern seaboard and all the way out to Colorado spreading the gospel of fine wine and spirits to everyone who will listen. In his spare time, he helms Goofy Bandit, a coffee liqueur inspired by his years behind the bar and his belief that great beverages should be made by real people using real ingredients. His favorite grape varieties are Carricante, Caprettone, and Mantonico.
