Azimut, Penedes Brisat Orange, 2025
Brisat is the traditional Penedes term for a skin-contact white, from brisa, the Catalan word for pomace. This orange wine comes from the Suriol family's Azimut project, made with certified organic grapes bought from neighbors who farm the same way, a blend of Parellada, Sumoll Blanc, Garnatxa Blanca and Moscatell. It ferments naturally on its skins for five days, rests three months in underground concrete, and goes to bottle unfined, unfiltered, with only a touch of sulfur. The result is fresh and fruity rather than heavy, a friendly, low-intervention introduction to orange wine.
