Bonnet Cotton, Fleurie ‘Poncie’, 2024

Fleurie is the most perfumed of the Beaujolais crus, and in the hands of low-intervention darlings Bonnet-Cotton it sings. 'Poncie' comes from a beautiful old Gamay vineyard planted in the '60s and '70s, facing south toward the village. Pierre Cotton and Marine Bonnet farm organically and do full carbonic maceration of whole clusters in cement, then age in foudre, unfined, unfiltered, with no added sulfur—pure, transparent winemaking. The 2024 is floral, fresh, and silky, the kind of Fleurie that makes the case for the cru in one sip.
