From a Rueda producer turning heads, this is a thrilling, off-the-beaten-path Spanish wine. Cantalapiedra Viticultores farms organically in La Seca, the historic core of Rueda, where Manuel Cantalapiedra leads the family estate his grandfather Heliodoro started planting in 1949. He works old, dry-farmed parcels and vinifies with wild yeasts, minimal sulfur, and no other additions. Espejo is one of his more characterful, site-driven bottlings, full of the energy that made Flatiron fans of this estate. A vibrant young wine to enjoy on the fresher side.
