Chateau Fortia, Chateauneuf-du-Pape Tradition Rouge, 2021

The flagship red from Château Fortia balances power with refinement, a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grown on the distinctive rolled stone terroir of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The 2021 vintage displays a garnet red color with a vibrant nose of crushed red fruit and fresh strawberry jam layered with licorice and bay leaf. On the palate, ripe dark berries and black pepper emerge alongside fine-grained tannins softened by aging in large oak barrels. A wine of amplitude and grace, drinking beautifully now but capable of aging ten years.
