Clos Venturi, Brama - Biancu Gentile, 2025
Biancu Gentile nearly disappeared, and Clos Venturi is one of the reasons it didn't. This rare Corsican white grape gets a solo turn here, grown high in the island's mountainous interior around Ponte-Leccia, about as far from the sea as Corsica gets. Manu Venturi farms biodynamically (Demeter-certified, with sheep, horses, and bees doing real work in the vineyards), and the wine is fermented with native yeasts in concrete egg, with a stretch of skin contact and lees aging to build texture. The result is dry, aromatic, and saline, more about presence and grip than fruit. If you like Corsican whites or you're just curious about a grape almost nobody else bottles on its own, start here.
