Division, Chardonnay Quatre, 2022

Division Winemaking Co. built its name in Portland channeling the Loire and Burgundy through an Oregon lens, and Quatre is their higher-tier Chardonnay: a single-vineyard bottling from Royer Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills. The vines are farmed sustainably (Division works with organic, regenerative, and/or biodynamic sites), and the wine spends about a year on its lees in mostly neutral oak, which builds texture without slathering on toast or butter. What you get is a crisp, saline, stone-fruit-driven Chardonnay with real length, the kind of Oregon white that overdelivers. Serve it cool but not frozen so the aromatics come through.
