Division, Ouest White Columbia Valley, 2025
A textural Northwest white from Portland's most fun-loving urban winemakers. Division Winemaking Company is the project of Kate Norris and Thomas Monroe — a Portland-based urban winery (and one of the city's best tasting rooms) that takes European inspiration and runs it through Northwest fruit. The Ouest White is their Columbia Valley exercise in textural white wine, a blend of Albariño, Grenache Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc sourced from responsibly farmed, often organic or biodynamic sites across the Columbia Valley. The wine spends time on lees to build mouthfeel and complexity. Expect a layered, mineral, food-friendly white that does the work of a serious Loire or Rhône bottling at a Tuesday-night frequency. Drink young and chilled.
