Domaine du Meix Foulot has been farming Mercurey for more than two centuries, and Agnès Dewé de Launay — who took the reins from her father Paul in 1996 — represents the eighth generation. The estate sits on the foothills below the ruins of the Château de Montaigu, with twenty hectares spread across village and premier cru parcels. The 2022 Mercurey Blanc is assembled from several plots (roughly half of them premier cru status), giving it real complexity for a village-tier white. Hand-harvested, fermented gently, and aged with a light touch of oak, it's classic old-school Côte Chalonnaise — Chardonnay that rewards a little patience and pairs effortlessly with food.
