Vocoret et Fils, Chablis, 2023 [Pre-Arrival ETA 7/9]

Domaine Vocoret et Fils is a fourth-generation family estate in Chablis, farming forty hectares the old-school way since the 1870s. Their village Chablis is fermented and raised in stainless steel, which keeps it clean, precise and all about terroir, the classic Kimmeridgian minerality the region is famous for. This is straightforward, honest Chardonnay with no oak in the way. The 2023 is young and fresh, ready to drink now as a crisp aperitif or with food, and it'll hold comfortably over the next few years.
