Domaine Ledogar, Les Brunelles, 2023

The Ledogar brothers work some of the Languedoc's most extraordinary old vines in Corbieres, some over a century old, with painstaking care: organic and biodynamic farming, hand-picking, soft slow pressing, short macerations. In another part of the world this kind of work would mean a very expensive bottle, but here in the Languedoc it's one of the great steals in our shop. Les Brunelles is a single-parcel cuvee that captures their stony terroir with real precision: vibrant, dark-fruited, and fresh, with the kind of minerality that comes from old vines and good farming. Serious wine, honestly priced.
