Le Grand Jardin is one of the heart parcels at Domaine Vincey: a 0.45-hectare southeast-facing plot in the Grand Cru of Oger, massal-selection Chardonnay planted in 1967 on roughly 80 cm of brown clay over Cote des Blancs chalk. Quentin and Marine farm biodynamically; in the cellar the wine is ambient-fermented and aged 12 months in barrel (20% new) crafted from local wood, then a long 36 months on the lees before hand riddling and zero-dosage disgorgement, with no added sulfur. The deeper clay and warmer exposure give Le Grand Jardin a flamboyant, gourmand profile, riper and more textural than Vincey's Mesnil bottlings while keeping the village's signature saline lift.
