This Verdejo comes from Pago del Cielo, the family's outpost near Villafranca de Duero in Rueda, where riverbed gravel and stones push the grape toward minerality. It's fermented in stainless steel and aged a few months on its lees (the 'sur lies' in the name), which gives it a little extra texture and roundness without ever weighing it down. A touch of Sauvignon Blanc rounds out the blend. Serve well-chilled as your everyday white.
