Patrimonio is Corsica's most prestigious red appellation, and Domaine Giacometti farms a remote slice of it on the granitic edge of the Agriates desert, where warm western winds and deep sandy soils push the indigenous Niellucciu (the island's name for Sangiovese) into something juicier, spicier, and less austere than its limestone-grown cousins. The 2022 Cru des Agriate Rouge is built around that Niellucciu, rounded with a touch of Grenache and Sciaccarellu and raised eighteen months in steel to keep the fruit front and center.
