Les Bottes Rouges is the Jura domaine of Jean-Baptiste Menigoz, a former teacher who spent a decade obsessed with the vines before going all-in, training under Jura master Stephane Tissot along the way. He farms organically with biodynamic touches and makes characterful, low-intervention wines. "Leon" is his Arbois Chardonnay, a fresh, mineral white made in the topped-up (ouille) style.
