Liska, Heceta White, 2024

Liska is an Oregon project from winemaker Chad Stock of Minimus Wines, focused on coastal and cool-climate sites in the Willamette Valley and surrounding areas. Stock is known for experimental, low-intervention winemaking—skin-contact whites, unusual varieties, and amphora fermentation. The Heceta White is a field blend from coastal Oregon vineyards, named for Heceta Head on the Oregon coast. The wine typically includes varieties like Müller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer, and other aromatic grapes suited to cool maritime conditions. Wild fermented, extended skin contact, minimal sulfur. A textural, saline-influenced white that reflects its proximity to the Pacific.
