Pascal Bouchard, Bourgogne Chardonnay, 2022

Pascal Bouchard is a historic Chablis house with roots in the early 20th century when Cleophas Tremblay began building vineyards in the region. Joelle Tremblay inherited half of the family vineyard and runs it with her husband Pascal Bouchard. In 2015, Maison Bichot acquired the negociant side while the family refocused on estate wines. Winemaker Florent Denieuil, with over 20 years at the property, continues to oversee production. This Bourgogne Chardonnay comes from vines on calcareous clay soils in the Chablis area, featuring the famous Kimmeridgian geology—formed 150 million years ago when an ancient sea covered the region. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel, aged 80% in tank and 20% in oak. Pure, mineral-driven Chardonnay with freshness and finesse. Excellent with roasted chicken or light fish.
