Renaissance, Sancerre Magie des Caillottes, 2025

Renaissance is the Sancerre project brothers Mathieu and Benoit Fleuriet built around the vines of a friend felled by serious illness, farmed organically and biodynamically and made hands-off. Magie des Caillottes comes from caillottes, the stony, shallow limestone soils that many consider the epitome of classic Sancerre, the source of its zingy, mineral lift. This is the brightest, most aromatic wine in the lineup. The 2025 is fresh, crisp and ready to drink young and cold.
