Sadie Family Wines, Kokerboom, 2024
Kokerboom is a varietal Semillon from a high-elevation Citrusdal Mountain site, co-planted with both white and red-skinned Semillon variants. The dry-farmed vines, some nearly a century old, are pressed whole-bunch and fermented in old foudres, aging for a year on gross lees without racking.
The 2024 shows classic Semillon waxiness with firm phenolics and underlying freshness. It’s one of the densest whites in the Old Vine Series—structured, textured, and built to evolve.
