Planted in the early 1950s, this south-southeast-facing site sits on a massive 16-million-year-old coralline limestone reef in the Sudsteiermark. Riff is a specific cooler block within Grassnitzberg, classified Erste Lage in the Austrian STK hierarchy, the tier just below the Grosse Lage Zieregg.
