Torre dei Beati, Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo, 2025
Torre dei Beati farms next door to Abruzzo's most legendary (and impossible-to-find) address, Valentini, and offers a range of classic Abruzzese wines from similar terroir for a fraction of the cost. This is their Cerasuolo, the deeply colored rosato of Montepulciano that is one of Italy's great pink wines. Fausto Albanesi builds it with three techniques in one bottle, saignee, blanc de noir and short maceration, all blended together, which gives it both vivid color and real depth. Farmed organically, it is a season-less rose: bright enough for summer, structured enough for the table all year. The 2025 is fresh, dynamic and seriously food-friendly.
