Xavier Gérard has rapidly risen since taking over his family’s Côte‑Rôtie vineyards in 2013, emphasizing terroir clarity from steep, schist-rich slopes. His 2022 Côte‑Rôtie comes from 3.2 ha of old vines across prime lieux‑dits—including Mollard, Viallière, La Brosse, and La Landonne—and includes about 4 % Viognier
