The nine-hectare vineyard—a single contiguous parcel of forty-to-sixty-year-old vines—sits on Pomerol's clay-rich plateau, the same iron-laced soils that produce the appellation's most lush and enveloping reds. The 2018 was a dream vintage for clay-soil Pomerol: eight hundred millimeters of spring rain saturated the clay, creating a natural reservoir that sustained the vines through four months of exceptional warmth and sunshine. The blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc is fermented in temperature-controlled vats, with some lots vinified directly in barrel, then aged eighteen to twenty-four months in French oak.
