Felsina, Chianti Colli Senesi, 2023
Founded in 1966 by Domenico Poggiali in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the southeastern part of the Chianti Classico zone. The estate spans approximately 72-95 hectares of vines at 320-420 meters elevation within a total property of 500-600 hectares.
We love Felsina for the estate's traditional and delicious Sangiovese-based wines. Drink with steak, red sauce pasta, or anything in-between. Fèlsina is known for producing excellent Chianti Classicos, but this wine comes from the other side of the border in Colli Senesi, a destination for exceptional and affordable Sangiovese. It's juicy and bright, with flavors of sour cherry, black cherry, raspberry, and dried herbs. Tannins are soft but unmissable, making this an insanely food-friendly option.
