Sadie Family Wines, Treinspoor, 2024
Treinspoor is Sadie’s Tinta Barocca from a Swartland vineyard planted beside an old railway line. The bush vines grow in iron-rich soils, forming a natural canopy to shield the thin-skinned grapes. Fermented with 30% whole clusters, the wine ages in large, old wooden casks and settles in concrete before bottling.
The 2024 is deeply structured, with firm tannins and earthy, graphite-driven character. It's the most brooding red in the Old Vine Series and built for long aging.
