Anne Boisson, Bourgogne Aligote, 2023
Aligote elevated to a serious wine. Anne Boisson, daughter of revered Meursault grower Bernard Boisson-Vadot, farms a small parcel of the family's holdings and bottles this from vines around 65 years old, age that gives Aligote a depth and concentration the grape rarely shows. Fermented with native yeasts and given a long, gentle elevage like her white Burgundies, it ends up far more textured and mineral than the everyday aperitif version of this grape. One of the finest expressions of Aligote in the Cote de Beaune, and a smart way into a sought-after Meursault address.
