Brovia, Barolo Garblet Sue, 2010
Brovia is a traditional pillar of Castiglione Falletto, a family estate making Barolo that marries ripe, generous fruit with a real sense of place. Garblet Sue is a small cru within Castiglione Falletto itself, and this is the 2010, one of Piedmont's truly great classical vintages, the kind built for the long haul. With fifteen years in bottle it's entering a beautiful mature phase while still holding plenty of structure in reserve. A library Barolo drinking near its peak. Decant and give it time in the glass.
