Burlotto, Barolo Cannubi, 2012

Cannubi is one of Barolo's most famous vineyards, a gentle, sun-blessed ridge in the Barolo commune known for floral, silky, perfumed Nebbiolo. It's a special bottling for Burlotto, the Verduno traditionalists, who ferment and age the old way in large Slavonian botti. The 2012 is a balanced, mid-weight vintage with real charm, and at over a decade old it's drinking in a lovely spot now, with mature complexity but still plenty of life. A great chance to drink Cannubi at maturity.
