Burlotto, Barolo Cannubi, 2015

Cannubi is one of Barolo's most storied vineyards, a sun-blessed ridge in the Barolo commune that gives perfumed, silky Nebbiolo. It's a treasured outpost for Burlotto, the Verduno traditionalists who work with long maceration and large Slavonian botti. The 2015 was a warm, generous vintage, so this drinks with richness and openness, charming and approachable now while still capable of rewarding several more years in the cellar.
