Claudio Boggione, Barolo Brunate, 2013

The Boggione family has been growing grapes on the Brunate vineyard in Barolo for generations; today only this exceptional site remains in their hands, with the winery hidden just behind the Cannubi vineyard. They produce approximately 6,000 bottles of Barolo annually from their holdings. The 2013 vintage shows icy nettle and cigar ash notes with supple, elegant character framed by cherry fruit emerging from beneath bright, tight, fine tannins. This is structured but refined, capturing Brunate's ability to deliver power alongside delicacy. The vintage displays the kind of mineral precision and silky tannins that have long defined this classic Barolo cru.
