This is the same monopole as the Clos des 60 Ouvrees, the walled vineyard owned entirely by Pousse d'Or inside Volnay's premier cru En Caillerets, here from the 2008 vintage. One of the estate's flagship sites, run since 1997 by Patrick Landanger after the celebrated Potel years. The 2008 is a fresh, classically proportioned vintage built on acidity and red-fruited lift rather than power, and at around 18 years it should be in a graceful mature window now with room to hold.
