Panchille, Bordeaux Superieur, 2022

Excellent-value Bordeaux Supérieur from the Sirat family estate in Arveyres, about 15 km west of Saint-Émilion. Pascal Sirat took over his family's 5 hectares in 1981 and achieved complete estate-bottling by 1994, having previously sold grapes to the local cooperative. Gravelly soils laced with veins of iron-rich clay grow Merlot and Cabernet Franc. HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) Level 3 certified since the 2018 vintage, recognizing sustainable farming practices.
