Bedrock Wine Company, Old Hill Ranch Heritage Wine, 2020

Old Hill Ranch isn't just one of California's great old vineyards, it's one of the world's. Planted in the mid-1880s in Sonoma Valley and tended for over two decades by Will Bucklin, it holds more than 30 different varieties interplanted in the same field, some so obscure they have no genetic match on record. Alongside the Zinfandel backbone you'll find Grenache, Alicante Bouschet, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Mataro, and rarities like Persan and Mollard, all picked and co-fermented together as a true field blend. Bedrock farms and vinifies it with native yeast and a light hand, letting 140 years of vine age speak. Layered and nuanced, this is living history in a glass.
